Opened more than a decade ago, The Anchor & Hope is a pub with dining room in the south of London (near Waterloo station).
And with the pub being winner of the 2004 Gastro Pub of the Year award from the ITV London Restaurant Awards, this pub has a fine reputation. It’s simple, it’s traditional (just plain wood tables and styling here), with all of its popularity coming from the pure good food and nothing else.
It also has a good selection of wines from both the bottle and the glass, and all of which are available at fair and reasonable prices.
Note that the pub only has a waiting list, with no bookings taken.
