Found underneath a railway bridge, with dark walls, brightly lit bar and crazy furnishings, you’d be surprised to find this bar in Clapham and not Shoreditch. But Arch 635 has a down to earth, no frills feel combined with a contemporary take on club nights. Its a great place for table football or pool and the big long bar means that you can get a drink pretty quickly, even when it’s busy. They’re cheaper than you’d expect too with a happy hour through the weekend, although the wine list is lacking. There’s a smaller room at the back used for live comedy and gigs, and the bar accommodates parties, the staff being friendly and understanding. It breaks up the slight monotony of the Clapham bar scene, and offers a decent place to both chill and party in south London until 3am.
