This building has a very interesting history as a Christian Science church before it became a music venue. Renovated into a spacey, comfortable hall in 2004, it now plays little brother to the Royal Albert Hall during the BBC proms, hosting some of its performances. For the rest of the year it plays contemporary and older music such a new jazz and 80s pop, as well as various talks and debates. It’s a lovely room to sit in, with great architecture and acoustics that makes watching an act in here very enjoyable. To top it all off, this is the resident home for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra who perform regularly among other internationally prolific orchestras.
