Designed by Sir John Soane in 1811 (the same individual responsive for Sir John Soane’s Museum), the Dulwich Picture Gallery contains some of the world’s most important collections of European old master paintings from the 1600s and 1700s. It also includes work by the old Baroque Masters, and such artists as Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Gainsborough.
With a great programme of temporary exhibitions and live events, a charming café and a shop, this is a pleasant art gallery in the heart of South London.
Admission prices are £6.00 for most people, £5.00 for seniors. Children enter free.
