The Geffrye Museum recreates the living rooms and gardens of the typical English middle class family, showing people how these have changed over the last 400 years (with the Georgian, Victorian, Modern and Contemporary eras being represented).
But it doesn’t just have a recreation of a middle class house. Nope, it also now has a relaxing garden overlooking the herb garden, which is open from the 1st of the April to the 31st of October and offers some lovely refreshments as well.
The opening times are:
Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm
Bank Holiday Monday from 10am to 5pm
Closed most Mondays, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
The restaurant is open until 4.45pm, and the shop is open normal museum hours.
