A zoological museum in University College London, the Grant Museum of Zoology contains around 67,000 specimens from across the whole Animal Kingdom. Most of these specimens are extinct too, with some examples including the Tasmanian Tiger/Thylacine, the Quagga and the Dodo, making the place a fascinating location to look at those species who went extinct in more recent years.
It’s open to the public from 1-5pm Monday to Saturday. Research visits can be booked for between 10am to 1pm. Admission is free of charge.
