Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Inhabited by the British Royal Family since the 18th centry, it was built for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey and passed to Henry VIII, whose family it remained in since. It was also rebuilt by William III, which ended up leading to its multiple architectural styles and rather magnificent architecture.
The building isn’t only a stately home either. No, it’s also a place in which many great music performances have been played by famous artists, and in which the Hampton Court Palace Festival is held. A highly recommended place to visit.
