House of Wolf restaurant features the UK’s first-ever permanent series of regular pop-up chef residencies, showcasing some of the UK’s most exciting chefs and culinary artists.
David Ahern jokingly refers to his cooking style as ‘reverse engineered’ as he envisages what he wants to create and then works backwards to achieve it. His use of only the choicest ingredients, accompanied by modern cooking techniques, a playful approach to flavours and textures and desire to wow his diners results in some remarkably adventurous menus and truly delicious dishes.
David has racked up experience at notable eateries including The Ship, The Engineer and Bens Canteen and hosted various pop-up dining experiences including ‘Burger Breakout’, a pop-up that was scheduled for a day but due to its popularity ran for six months. His appearance at House of Wolf will see him serve up a five course menu in the restaurant and bar food in the Music Hall Bar and Apothecary Bar.
Diners can expect dishes such as Quails Nest, a nest made from quail leg confit, spelt and herbs, with a warm devilled quails egg inside as well as beef cheek, wild mushrooms, horseradish puree, mustard mash and beef tendon puffs served with a black garlic jus. Bar food includes small dishes and snacks including pulled pork donuts with a BBQ glaze, oxtail sliders with smoked bone marrow mayonnaise and smoked horseradish salted cauliflower popcorn.

This menu is priced at £42.50 per head with optional drinks pairing menu.
