About
When people talk about a tour of London landmarks, rocketing down the Thames in a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) at 30 knots isn’t the first thing that comes to mind – But it’s probably the most fun. The tour begins with the guide talking over the PA system, describing the landmarks you’re passing and the history behind them. It’s informative and the guides are jolly and most important audible, considering the sound of the engines. You travel down from Westminster to Tower Bridge, then the engines really roar and you plough through the water down to Canary Wharf, performing daring turns and hard banks along the way. It’s adrenaline pumping and very fast, and longer trips are available that travel down to the Thames barrier. If it’s cold out then don’t worry, the husband and wife that run it will organise some cold weather gear for you, so you can ride the RIBs at any time of the year. Prices start at £32 for adults at £19 for kids.
