‘Jarmalade’ is the title of The Jar Family’s forthcoming album due for release 26th August 2013. They will be performing at The Darlington Beer festival on August 24th.
The new beer will be sold as a tribute to Hartlepool’s favourite local band, who have been rocking football stadiums across the country and ITV’s formula 1 footage with their thumping Kasabian-esque rock out “Machine”.
The single has now been adopted as Hartlepool football team’s anthem – with players running out onto the pitch to this killer track.
With a football anthem and a beer named after them you’d be forgiven for mistaking this band for Oasis contenders, but these guys are the inventors of industrial folk, like 6 buskers having a Jam who play so tight together live they could contend with the staunchest of US touring bands.
The band are 5 prolific singer song writers and a bassist who have produced a lively double album with a range of songs inspired by artists such as; Dylan, Morrison, Doherty, The Fall and Fleetwood Mac with appeal to the spectrum of tastes and ages? ‘Jarmalade’ the album is a musical treasure trove and the beer of the same name is set to bring absolute pleasure to the palette!
