About
The Lanesborough is synonymous with luxury. Located opposite Hyde Park, the hotel is a heady blend of historical London with cutting edge technology, comfort and service. It’s recently been refurbished but was first designed as a hospital by the same man that designed the National Gallery, and the architecture is well preserved and very evident.
It is then contrasted with the technology in the rooms with electronic keypads controlling most of the appliances in the room, which include an on-demand TV service, 24 hour butler service, air conditioning and more, all from the keypad. This is by no means a cheap affair, but the amount of amenities included in the room price is fairly decent. You’ve got a laptop with internet, a music library, daily bowls of fresh fruit and water as well as a spa studio and personalised business cards, all in the room price. The level of comfort in the rooms are high, and the afternoon tea room and Library Bar provide good refreshment. A hotel for the most decadent and thick of wallet.
