The Wotever DIY Film Festival (WDIYFF) is committed to showcasing the best, queer, DIY film from the LGBTQ* community in the UK and around the world. Now in our fourth year – and fifth festival – we’ve seen our one evening event grow to a three day festival at the beautiful Cinema Museum in Kennington. This year we’re particularly proud to be hosting a retrospective screening at the British Film Institute on the 20th August 2015. With submissions more than tripling this year, we’ve certainly got a varied, not to mention packed, programme of films from all corners of our queer planet. We also urge you not to miss our pre-festival, DIY filmmaking workshop on the 16th August, and our free filmmakers networking event during the festival itself. We’re especially excited to announce that our opening night gala will be a screening of Stories of Our Lives by the Kenyan group the Nest Collective which garnered rave reviews at BFI Flare earlier this year.
